The pen-work was done one day as I sat listening to the Bhagavat Gita class. And as the teacher recited:

 “vasansi jirn-nani yatha vihaay
navani grihnati naro-parani
tatha sharirani vihaya jirnany-
anyani sanyati navani dehi” (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter II verse 22)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: As a person discarding worn-out clothes, puts on new garments, likewise the embodied soul, casting off worn-out bodies,enters into other bodies which are new."


trapped in the chaos.  
of the modern day,
amidst the glamour and glitz,
giving us goals
unachievable,
where beauty
is just a show,
and birds,
just a showpiece
where snares and delusions
pave our way,
with so much of wrong
happening around,
only to feed
the interests of the media
and to spice up
your morning chai
with those big headlines
printed in black and white
sneaking through
even bigger
advertisements
with pretty faces
implanting plastic dreams
camouflaged
in the city lights,
thrives the darkness.


The mind's the toughest prison
Break Free!




This fire
Feeds on
A heap
Of shattered dreams
A tender hope
Flickers from
The smoldering ashes
The Phoenix
Is anything
But a myth



Call me
Dried up
Fading away
Messed up
Fallen off
Anything

But made up
